Why use WorkWell?

One of the key objectives of WorkWell is to support individuals with a health condition that is a barrier to remaining in or finding work. We believe that people who are absent from work due to reasons linked to mental health, MSK and respiratory reasons often struggle to return to work after a period of sickness absence. This can be for a variety of reasons, but we believe that by intervening at the earliest possible stage and adopting a preventative approach, more options are created for the individual, with an increased likelihood of a positive outcome.

There are many services that offer help for people to find work, but there is limited support for those already in employment. WorkWell is aimed at both the unemployed and employed, making it a unique service.

WorkWell at a glance

  • Free, independent, practical information, advice and guidance for individuals on how to deal with issues at work connected to health conditions. WorkWell is designed to help them understand their options and move forward.
  • Indicative timeframe for support is 6 months but the support is not time limited meaning that they can access the service according to the speed of health and work developments.
  • WorkWell can help them to speak with their employer and tackle sensitive or complex situations independently enabling them to move forward with personalised, realistic and pragmatic steps.
